Goodbye, Hello

This past Friday was Conan O’brien’s last episode on Late Night, and I must say it was a fitting ending to a long legacy. I didn’t really start watching Conan until the 2000s, which is when I think he really started to take off. From then, I always regarded him as the king of late-night talk shows. His humor was not always mainstream, but it was almost always hilarious. He broke the conventional rules of being a talk show host. There are a ton of episodes that I missed, but there were a few spots in my life where it was a ritual to stay up late and watch the “Cone-Bone” do his thing. The final episode was more of a look back than anything, but it was somewhat historical and I’m glad I was able to watch it. My favourite part by far was at the end when Conan stated that a lot of people were saying he would have to grow up for the Tonight Show, but Conan said he just didn’t know how. Thank you Conan. I look forward to your crazy antics an hour earlier this summer.
